This has been a very different holiday season. For the first time in almost 30 years I am not working in a grocery store during Thanksgiving. And for the first time in 8 years I won't have the added stress of making sure everything goes right for this holiday! God has been so good to me lately that it can't be hard but to be thankful to Him for everything He does.
Jesus moved me out of the stores in the middle of September. He put me in a new position at the corporate office. I am now officially the Manager of Space Allocation and Product Demonstrations. This means I now have weekends and holidays off. I don't have the stress of the added pressure of running a store. He is so good. People have told me the stress is so less visible on my life. One person told me just the other day I look 5 years younger because of the stress not on my life. Thank-you, Jesus. My doctor told me my health will be a lot better with less stress in my life. Stress is bad for my blood sugar. Thank-you, Jesus!
Then to put another piece to the puzzle in place, He moved upon my pastor's heart to ask Cara and I if we would consider being small group leaders. It would have been very difficult to be a Care group leader if I was still a store director. So again, I am thankful to Him for the opportunity to be a small group leader. I am also signed up to be an usher at church. That will start in December. I will serve for the whole month.
So for this Thanksgiving, I am so thankful to Him for his goodness to me!
