I went to Messenger Flats to check out the campground to see if it would be suitable as a campsite for a troop campout. It is a nice campsite, not many people were at the campsite. Actually, there was no one at the campground. The campground is right next to the PCT so I took my little children and had them hike a little bit on the trail so my children have hiked the PCT!
The view from the campground is gorgeous. It is based on a ridge. On one side you can see forests and then on the other side you see desert and the city of Palmdale.
