Holidays and Military Families

Just like any other holiday there is a lot going on this past week and the week to come.  Remembering all the sacrifices made by our forefathers and those currently serving who have helped preserve on our Nation.  We shouldn't forget those who support our soldiers while they are gone, down range practicing or on short term missions, the soldier's families.  I remember growing up in such a family.  Remembering all the times my dad was down range, he was in artillery and missiles or when he was on deployment in Korea, '65 , or Viet Nam '69.  A lot of time missing from growing up a boy into man without a father being around for a lot of that time.  So remember, the soldier's families as well.

Post Independence Holiday Musings

Some Post Holiday Musings about this past Independence Day Holiday.  Holiday's are about family and friends.  Especially as we get older there are less and less holidays for us to enjoy.  So enjoy the time you have together. 

Holidays are also about more work!  How can it be more work when you have a day off because of the holiday?  Well, you have one less day to get all the amount of work you normally do.  Also, I will be going on vacation on the 13th which means 2 weeks of work into one week.  Fun!  But it will be worth it as I spend a week with 2 sons at Scout camp.  It will be good to get away from all the hustle and bustle of daily life in the grind.  Until next time.
